Dandenong Ranges

The Dandenong Ranges has an amazing array of outstanding flora, winding roads with soaring trees and wonderful valley views. It's arguably Melbourne's favourite destination with its popular old steam train attraction, the famous Puffing Billy". The steam train railway was constructed at the start of the 1900's and now meanders across tall forests and green vegetation through the small towns of Belgrave, Menzies Creek, Emerald, Cockatoo and Gembrook. These quaint towns have many magnificent houses with extensive gardens, shops and "Swiss Chalets" type restaurants and reception venues. Things to do include fine dining, shopping for antiques, hiking and just driving around this beautiful hilly countryside.
